The Prince Laurent foundation is a public service organization officially recognized by the authorities, which depends financially on donations, sponsoring and patronage. We seek your support in our endeavours to benefit the welfare of domestic and wild animals. BY A DONATION By donating 30€ you can become a Friend of the PRINCE LAURENT FOUNDATION and will receive the "Journal of the Foundation", which keeps you informed of its activities and its projects.

  • By donating 125€, you become a loyal Friend.

Donations can be paid into account number BE03 3101 4773 0884 (BBRUBEBB) .
Since January 1st, donations of a minimum of 40 € are tax deductible.

If, however, you explicitly wish to support the activities of the veterinary dispensaries, you can make a donation into the same account number BE03 3101 4773 0884 (BBRUBEBB) with mention "Dispensaries Prince Laurent Foundation", in which case you will also become a Friend of the Foundation and enjoy the same benefits while at the same time making certain that your donation is used exclusively for the benefit of the pets of the most needy people.

BY A LEGACY
A legacy is a testamentary disposition by which a legator donates part or all of his possessions to a person or organisation and which can be revoked by the legator at all times. A legacy, therefore, only takes effect upon the decease of the legator. The difference between a legacy and a donation is that in case of a donation the person donating his or her possessions during his or her lifetime, immediately and irrevocably renounces his or her possessions.

It is nevertheless recommended to seek advice from a notary. A handwritten testament (holographic testament) is valid provided it is written, dated and signed in the testator's own hand.

Below is a text which can be used as an example and which can be copied on normal stationary paper, later to be handed over to a notary in the form of a codicil to the main testament.

I, the undersigned (name and all Christian names), domiciled (complete address), bequeaths to the Prince Laurent Foundation for the Welfare of domestic and wild Animals, a public service organisation,with headquarters at 36-38 Avenue Paul Deschanel, in 1030 Brussels,
an amount of (written in full), the following possessions (description of personal property and real estate)
